West facade of St-Denis Cathedral

This is the current western facade of the cathedral of St-Denis, located just outside of Paris.

In the 1840s the north tower was seen to have a number of cracks and it was worried that it would collapse. The tower was dismantled and allegedly reconstruction on it was to begin this year.
