Important European Figures Associated With the Toledo Cathedral
The Toledo Cathedral may not have been as historically significant if were not for the actions of these royals. Between the recapturing of Toledo, which was no easy task, to the ordering of construction and allocating of funds, the cathedral was cared for and looked after by many prominent European rulers.

Alfonso IV of Leon and Castile, the Conqueror of Toledo in 1085
Ferdinand III- The king of Castile, the kingdom to which Toledo was under the jurisdiction of, at the beginning of its initial construction
Charles V- Later King of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor that would be influential the expansion of the Cathedral
Rodrigo Jiménez de Rada- Archbishop of Toledo that oversaw the early actions of its construction
